Students’ interest in chemistry increases

ANAS Institute of Catalysis and Inorganic Chemistry named after Acad.M.Naghiyev hosted “The day of open door” for students of Baku European Lyceum.

Deputy Director of the institute corresponding member of ANAS Muhammad Babanly noted about development of science and education as well as flexible opportunities in the country for their integration at a modern level. ANAS has fulfilled a number of works in providing unity of science and education, improving staff training system in accordance with the modern standards, and applying outputs of research works to the educational process. Base chairs of the universities have been created at the master studies and scientific ventures of ANAS, scientific nooks were opened in several schools, including Department of Chemical Sciences at the Baku European Lyceum, he added.

M.Babanly stressed out that, these events aim to shape outlook of students and increase their interest in chemistry.

Later on, member of the Council of Young Scientists and Specialists of the institute Aygun Isazadeh made a presentation on “Chemistry and life”.

Within the event, students were organized a quiz in chemistry for students and excursion to the different labs.
