With organizational support of the Department of Public Relations and Science Popularization (DPRSP) of ANAS Administration of the Presidium hosted Summer School for media representatives under the slogan "Let's promote science!" devoted to the National Press Day.

 In the second summer school entitled "Science Activity - 2016" was attended by representatives of the country leading mass media agencies.

The summer school was organized in Shamakhi Astrophysical Observatory after N. Tusi (SAO) of ANAS. Opening the event, head of DPRSP Zulfuqar Farzaliyev told about the history and the glorious path of the Azerbaijani press, the new stage of its development and the care of the state mass media.

Noting that, ANAS appreciates the work of domestic media, Zulfuqar Farzaliyev said that with media agencies have established close co-operation, laid the foundations for a fruitful business relationships.

Then the guests greeted the director of Shamakhi Astrophysical Observatory after N. Tusi of ANAS, corresponding member of ANAS Namig Jalilov. He stressed that, journalists play an important role in all the activities that take place in the Academy of Science in the field of propaganda. Also N.Jhalilov gave brief information about SAO activities.

Speaking at the event, Head of the Department of Public Relations of USOPNSabuhi Qahramanov, spoke about the significance of the Summer School project.

He noted that, the purpose of the organization of the Summer School is to improve the effectiveness of interventions in the sphere of mass propaganda of science, as well as strengthening cooperation between academia and the press. Head also demonstrated a presentation on the activities of members of the Public Relations Department of Public Relations and Science Popularization, aimed at popularizing science.

Then the training was organized in the framework of the Summer School. Director Studio socio-political and foreign news AzTV, associate professor of Baku Slavic University Rovshan Mammadov held training on topical issues of the theory and practice of journalism.

Further, were carried out wide exchange of opinions on a subject and responded questions of participants.

After the training, the participants of the Summer School got acquainted with the scientific center of the observatory.
