The new silicon-containing material in the form of films based on Si-PEG ion-conducting polymeric material dry at 10-5Cm cm-1 was developed by scientists of the Institute of Chemical Sciences. AB Bekturova. Project Manager - Head. lab. synthesis and physical chemistry of polymers, Prof. MB Umerzakova.

The new material based on synthetic silicon-containing polymers, polymer films (membranes) based on them, tetraethoxysilane, 3-mercaptopropyl trimethoxysilane and lithium salts. During the work electrochemical properties of the polymer based on various materials and impact copolymers have been determined  to comonomer ratio of the ionic conductivity of lithium cation in order to establish the optimum composition of copolymer of comonomer ionic conductivity of lithium cations. Composition of the synthesized copolymer to obtain a dry electrolyte lithium-order level on the lithium-ion conductivity of at least 10-5 Sm sm-1 to create a dry polymer electrolyte for potential use in chemical current sources has been optimized.
