Today at the Institute of Catalysis and Inorganic Chemistry of ANAS was held a regular meeting of the Scientific Council. The meeting was opened by Secretary of the Department of Chemical Sciences, director of the institute, academician Dilgam Tagiyev. Academician informed the members of the Scientific Council's agenda. Further, Academician spoke on "Status of research and development of perspectives in the Institutes of Department of Chemical Sciences." The speaker spoke about the history of the chemical institutes, stages of development of applied research on the implementation of the works obtained achievements, the current state of scientific research in these institutions, as problems set before chemists, by president Ilham Aliyev at the jubilee, dedicated to the 70th anniversary of the National Academy of Sciences and about future prospects for the development of the respective economies. The report was widely discussed. The academician said that the laboratories and departments have to prepare for the annual report, which will begin on November 21 this year. Then Academician Dilgam Tagiyev spoke about the work carried out on preparation to the 80th anniversary of the institute. Academician noted, that the anniversary of the institute will be in the Round Hall of the main building of ANAS and all work related to the preparation to this event are executed in a timely manner.
