X International Conference “Management Science and Science in Management” held in Baku has ended on September 1. The conference was organized by the International Society for Science and Engineering Department, the Ministry of Education of Azerbaijan Republic, Ministry of Communications and High Technologies of Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences, Azerbaijan State University of Oil and Industry, Azerbaijan State Economic University, Azerbaijan Technical University and Sichuan University in China.

Vice-President of ANAS Academician Isa Habibbeyli made speech on role of science and education in a modern world, and advanced achievements obtained in these fields.

Science plays a vital role in development of mankind. Major changes have been made possible thanks to science in different societies. The countries with strong traditions of scientific potential were able to escape the ranks of world power, was stated.

He stressed out that, specific provisions about creation and activity directions of economic subjects attached to scientific and educational bodies have been reflected in the charter of Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences approved by President Ilham Aliyev on 13 December 2014, including in regulations of a number of higher educational institutions. "Law of Science” of the Republic of Azerbaijan paves the way for establishment of economic-industrial subjects at the scientific research and higher educational institutions as well as their regulation from a legal point of view.

Reporting at the event, President of the Academy of Sciences of Moldova (ASM) Academician Georghe Duca spoke about priorities of the organization led by him. He brought to mind the establishment of a high school for gifted children at ASM, which is guided by state policy in training of highly skilled scientific staff, as well as implementation of works in the direction of new strategies and technologies. In order to recruit the youth in science and boost their activities, realization of grant projects is necessary, he added.

Then, a Professor at the University of Tokyo Sciences Mitsuo Gen, Professor at Moscow State University named after M.V.Lomonosov Gennady Falin, Professor at the Brock University of Canada Syed Ejaz Ahmad, Professor at the City University of Hong Kong N.Sinqpurwalla, Professor at the U.S Drexel University Benjamin Lev, rector of Khazar University Hamlet Isakhanli and head of the Office of Education and Science of ANAS Professor Aminagha Sadigov were reported on the topic.

Note that, an international conference on the theme "Management Science and Engineering Management" is held annually in different countries of the world since 2007. Azerbaijan hosts the conference for the first time in the CIS.
