Chinese chemists have developed a new technology of graphene production, which allows to synthesize defectless crystals of matter at a record speed.
The feature of a new approach is the use of a substrate from molten copper, which has not only a very smooth surface, but also plays the role of a catalyst. The Scientists managed to achieve a crystal growth rate of 79 microns per second, which is about a third better than the previous index of 60 microns per second.
The results are described in the journal Science China Material.
