The article of employers of the Institute of Catalysis and Inorganic Chemistry(ICIC) - corresponding member of ANAS Mahammad Babanly and PhD in Chemistry Ziya Aliyev titled "Plasma-wave terahertz detection mediated by topological insulators surface states" was published in January issue of "Nano Letters" journal of American Chemical Society with high impact factor (13.592) as a result of multidisciplinary research jointly with researchers from Italy, Spain, France, Russia and Poland.

The article contains the possibility of using the inorganic materials into an icon of the new generation - in topological insulators in terahertz detectors. In the near future is expected that, such type terahertz detectors replace the X-ray machines which are currently used in security systems and medical applications.

Note that, results of the researches of authors of article carried out in the conditions of the international collaboration in receiving and research of topological insulators found the reflection more than 20 articles published in such journals with a high impact-factor as "Nature Communications" (impact factor 11.470), "Physical Review Letters", "Nano Research", "Journal of Physical Chemistry C", "Physical Review B", "New Journal of Physics", "Journal of Alloys and Compounds".
