May 17, by organization of Young Scientists and Specialists of ANAS, Administrative Office and Free Trade Union, the final game and awarding ceremony of “4th football championship of the young scientist and specialists of ANAS” devoted to the 94th anniversary of national leader Heydar Aliyev.

At the final game the teams of Institutes of Control Systems and Economy struggled for the 3rd place. This game was resulted with victory of the Institute of Control Systems by 6:4. Institute of Geology and Geophysics and Institute of Physics struggled for the 1st place. Institute of Physics has become a winner of the championship by 2:1.

After competition, Vice-President of ANAS Acad. Dilgam Taghiyev congratulated the team members at the awarding ceremony, and highlighted devotion of this tradition championship to the 94th anniversary of national leader Heydar Aliyev as a remarkable event. He spoke of the importance of the championship and care shown to sport in Azerbaijan. Currently, Baku hosts to a grandiose sport race such as “Islamic Solidarity Games” and accommodates thousands of sportsmen from 4 continents of the world, and this is very vital step in promotion of Azerbaijan, he added.

Chairman of Young Scientists and Specialists Council of ANAS Ph.D. in physics-math Assoc. Prof. Famin Salmanov said that, 16 teams participated at the championship from various institute and organizations of ANAS and he expressed his gratitude to ANAS management.

Then, teams were awarded. Institute of Physics of ANAS was deserved to the 1st place, Institute of Geology and Geophysics to the 2nd place, Institute of Control Systems to the 3rd place. The winner team members were presented medal, diploma and monetary prizes.
