The commemorative event dedicated to the memory of national leader Heydar Aliyev was held at academician M.Nagiyev Institute of Catalysis and Inorganic Chemistry. First of all, the memory of the great leader was commemorated with a minute of silence. Academic Dilgam Taghiyev who opened the event, spoke about the great person, national leader Heydar Aliyev's life and services on Azerbaijani state and people. Academician stated that Heydar Aliyev’s epoch is unique in terms of his exceptional importance in the centuries-long statehood history and the determination of not only the present life, but also the future life of our people.  Then, he spoke about the national leader’s services on the development of Azerbaijani science, care and attention to the Academy of Sciences and the scientists. Then he then said that today the President Ilham Aliyev successfully continues the political course and statehood strategy of Heydar Aliyev. Heydar Aliyev’s political practice is a strong basis, reliable foundation and  great guide for Honourable President Ilham Aliyev in great politics, international relations, solution of domestic issues.At the end the academician emphasized that the life and activity of the National leader who devoted his whole life to the progress and prosperity of our people, is a source of strength for us.

Then the corresponding member of ANAS Ali Nuriyev, the head of the laboratory, doctor of sciences in chemistry Fikret Sadikhov, the chairman of the NAP Institute Mahyaddin spoke about the memories about the great leader Heydar Aliyev, the achievements of the government during the leadership of Heydar Aliyev and stated that under the leadership of President Ilham Aliyev independent Azerbaijan is moving forward with confidence, strengthens its leadership in the region due to its steady and continues development and increases its influence in the world.
