The International Union of Technical and Applied Chemistry (IUPAC) adopted the name of the newly discovered chemical elements 113, 115, 117. The elements received official names: "Nihon» (Nh), «moskovium» (Mc), «tennessin» (Ts).

The name "Nihon" (113th element) has been offered by Japanese experts from RIKEN Institute and translated from the native language of scientists it means the land of "Rising Sun". Moskovium (115th element) got its name in the honor of Moscow region. Here, at the Joint Institute for Nuclear Research in Dubna, near Moscow, it was first synthesized a new chemical element. The name "tennesin" (117th element) due to the US state of Tennessee, as the main part of the research was carried out at the National Laboratory of Oak Ridge.

Currently, the seventh row of the table is completely full. Now, besides studying the newly discovered elements, the scientists focus is on the search for new chemical elements.
