Memorandum between ANAS and the Center for Analysis of Economic Reforms and Communication

November 16, at the Presidium of ANAS was held a signing ceremony of a memorandum to enhance cooperation between ANAS and the Center for Analysis of Economic Reforms and Communication (CAERC).

The event was opened by introductory speech of the President of ANAS, Academician Akif Alizade who informed about the tasks and activities that need to be implemented to fulfill the Order on creation of the Park of High Technologies of ANAS, signed by the President of Azerbaijan Republic Ilham Aliyev, November 8, 2016. Academician noted that this document will lead to the expansion of the field of innovation and high technology, which is based on modern scientific and technological achievements, research and the creation of modern complexes on the development of new technologies, "ANAS will hold the necessary measures to build foreign and internal infrastructure on the territory of high-tech Park, ensure the provision of other services for the effective implementation of business activity."

Academician Akif Alizadeh also raised the issue of the memorandum, which will be signed with CAERC. He stressed that in the framework of the memorandum the parties intend to build and develop fruitful cooperation in the field of commercialization of science, the organization of the relationship between science and production and joint reform.

Then the CEO of the Center for Analysis of Economic Reforms and Communications, Doctor of Economics Vusal Gasimli made a presentation on the theme "Building the knowledge economy in Azerbaijan and economic reforms." In his report, Vusal Gasimli noted that in the global economy in the scientific researches spent more than $ 2 trillion, and expressed his confidence that the public and private sectors in Azerbaijan will increase their competitiveness in the areas of management, bio, nano, information, communications, industrial, financial and other areas at the expense of adapting to the requirements of advanced technologies. The CEO stressed that along with the import of advanced technologies will also shape and manage human capital, as well as to develop a way of thinking as a whole in accordance with the new global tendencies and appeals, "Advanced technology and human capital to create a higher added value”. The scientific potential of Azerbaijan will contribute to the development of new technologies in line with global trends. Azerbaijan will continue to carry out reforms in order to build a knowledge economy. We must try to get by converting investments into knowledge, and knowledge - in most of the investment income remained in the country. Creation of the Park of High Technologies of ANAS is a positive step towards the commercialization of science in the country. Cooperation between ANAS and CAERC will contribute to building a knowledge economy in Azerbaijan."

Then around this issue were reported the Vice-President of ANAS, Academician Isa Habibbeyli, Academician-Secretary of ANAS, Academician Rasim Alguliyev, Academician-Secretary of the Department of Biological-Medical Sciences of ANAS, Academician Ahliman Amiraslanov, Director of the Institute of Control Systems, Academician Telman Aliyev, chief of Innovation Department of the Presidium Administration of ANAS, PhD in Agricultural sciences Vugar Babayev and others who pointed out that the signed memorandum will allow in the future to develop cooperation between the two organizations and to carry out joint important measures.

Then, a memorandum was signed between ANAS and CAERC. The document was signed by President of ANAS, academician Akif Alizadeh and CEO of the Center for Analysis of Economic Reforms and Communications, Doctor of Economics Vusal Gasimli.
