ANAS Presidium held a regular meeting on September 21. In his speech at the meeting Academician-Secretary of ANAS, Academician Rasim Alguliyev noted that, the portal science.gov.az, which is the first website in Azerbaijan, covers the activities of the Presidium, scientific institutions and organizations, scientists, including objectively informs the public conducted in scientific sphere reform and obtained achievements in the field of scientific development.

Academician said that, is constantly working on improvement and development of the portal science.gov.az: «Last year, with the use of innovative technology has been developed and put in operation a new version of the portal, where more extensive information on the individual research institutions has been posted. However, after some time due to objective and subjective reasons, some information about the institutions of ANAS posted on the portal, are outdated and no longer relevant. So there was a need to periodically update of some information, edit the inaccurate information, in a word, maintaining an information portal providing up to date. To do this, it is advisable to conduct a comprehensive monitoring information support portalascience.gov.az and implement a number of measures to address the identified deficiencies". Considering all the above, the Presidium accepted the the decision to hold a comprehensive condition monitoring information support Web portalawww.science.gov.az. The organization and conducting of monitoring were assigned to the Office of Public Relations and science popularization of ANAS Presidium and the Institute of Information Technology of ANAS. In this regard, staff and the Institute will provide training.

Also, the Institute of Information Technology was tasked with developing mobile version of the portal www.science.gov.az to increase the possibilities of using it.
