September 2, President of Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences, Academician Akif Alizadeh met with the president of the Academy of Sciences of Moldova (ASM), Academician Georgy Duca.
Welcoming the guest, Academician Akif Alizadeh told about the activity of ANAS and the ongoing reforms. Academician said that ANAS works closely with many leading scientific centers of the world, exchanges of experience and personnel, implements joint projects and research. Noting that between ANAS and ASM also established scientific cooperation at the highest level President of ANAS emphasized the need to expand these ties in the future.
In turn, President of ASM, Academician Georgy Duca thanked Academician Akif Alizadeh for the warm welcome. Speaking about the achievements of the organization headed by him, the guest said that the ASM operates Lyceum for gifted children. Academician Georgy Duca also spoke in detail about the bilateral treaties concluded by ASM under which joint projects are implemented corresponding to the priorities of both participating countries.
Speaking about the results of admission to magistracy of ANAS, Academician Akif Alizadeh noted that the biggest competition is observed in the magistracy of ANAS. President of the Academy is linked to the fact that ANAS institutes have great scientific potential, enhanced material and technical base of scientific institutions, which are equipped with the latest equipment.
President of ASM, Academician Georgy Duca suggested that a bilateral program, coordinating it with the governments of both countries. The proposal met with the approval of the academician from the leadership of ANAS.
In conclusion, the President of the ASM invited Academician Akif Alizadeh to attend the conference which will be held in March next year in Moldova.
The meeting was attended by the Vice-President of ANAS, AcademicianIbrahim Guliyev, the head of International Relations Office of the Presidium of ANAS Presidium, Ph.D. in Biology Esmira Alirzayeva and Head of Public Relations and Science Popularization Office Zulfugar Farzaliyev.
