On 05.09.2019 Bulgaria-Azerbaijan scientific seminar was heldat academician M.Nagiyev Institute of Catalysis and Inorganic Chemistry of ANAS, vice-president of ANAS, director of the institute, academician Dilgam Taghiyev stated with opening speech that the chairman of General meeting of AS of Bulgaria, director of academician Evgeni Budevski Institute of Electrochemistry and Energy Systems, prof. Evelina Slavcheva and research scientist of the institute, PhD Elicha Petkucheva are on business-scientific trip on 3-7th September, 2019 in academician M.Nagiyev Institute of Catalysis and Inorganic Chemistry on the project of “Hybrid FeChx-Tio2-MoSx cathodes for electrochemical and photoelectrochemical applications” which won in the framework of scientitic-cooperation agreement signed between NAS of Azerbaijan and AS of Bulgaria and today’s seminar is being held in the framework of the visit. Academician emphasized the importance of recent joint scientific-researches between Evgeni Budevski Institute of Electrochemistry and Energy Systems and our Institute and gave the floor to Professor Evelina Slavcheva. Professor Evelina Slavcheva made a speech on “Recent achievements in the Institute of Electrochemistry and Energy Systems and Academy of Sciences of Bulgaria” dedicated to the establishment of BAS, development ways and recent fundamental reforms, fundamental and applied works in the institute and gave detailed information on fundamental, scientific-practical aspects of electrolysis process of water in solid polymer electrolytes and the results. Extensive discussions on the speech were undertaken, many questions of seminar participants were responded. Then research scientist of the Institute of Electrochemistry and Energy Systems PhD Elicha Petkucheva’s speech on “The use of FeSe as photoabsorber in photoelectrochemical destruction process of water” was listened. Speaker spoke about the use of productivity and ecological purity of alternative energy sources, scientific bases of photoelectrochemical obtaining of future energy source – hydrogen and obtained results. Extensive exchange of views on the speech was carried out, seminar participants asked speakers different questions. At the end of the seminar deputy director on scientific affairs at academician M.Nagiyev Institute of Catalysis and Inorganic Chemistry of ANAS, corresponding member of ANAS Mahammad Babanly thanked Bulgarian scientists on seminar participants’ behalf for detailed scientific speech. Such seminars and organization of mutual visits are useful from the point of creating and development of scientific relation for both organizations
